Every year on 15th October Global Handwashing Day (GHD) is celebrated in-order to motivate people aroung the world to wash their hands with soap or handwash.
It is dedicated for propagating the benefit of hand-wash for preventing disease.
According to reports even simple behavioural change like hand-wash can reduce the child mortality rate.
In 2013 approximately 340,000 children (i.e approx. 1,000 a day) under five years of age died from dairrheal diseases caused due to lack of clean water, sanitation and basic hygiene- by WHO & UNICEF
So the Campaign purely work so as to reduce Child mortality rate over the world.
