Zero-emission Electric Bus launched in Banglore

Capacity of around 41 passengers.
Takes 5 hours to be charged normally
and half that time for a ‘fast’ charge.
The zero-emission Chinese-made BYD
bus (K9D) is powered by four ferrous batteries, each producing 540 volts of
electricity.
Runs at a speed of 96 km/hr costing rs. 2.7 crore
The duration for trial of the bus has been kept as three months during which the bus will run at different routes.
