Sholay 3D remake of a classical megahit of 1975

I don’t think “Sholay” a Classic Megahit of 1975 needs any review. It is an evergreen movie of Indian cinema and it was nailed as the greatest story ever told. 

But should you watch its remake in 3D ? 

 

According to me the old classical movie has its spirit which the remake lacks. In watching the 3D effects of Bullets and Bombs flying out of the screen, character coming to life etc the original charm of the movie has been concealed in it.

If you really want to enjoy the movie I would recommend you to watch the classical Sholay release of 1975. But if you want a modern view of the movie you should watch the remake of the movie.

Alia Bhatt's second film "Highway"

'Highway' second film of the actress Alia Bhatt is an upcoming Bollywood romance-drama film, directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. it would release worldwide on 21st February, 2014.
Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt are in lead roles.

Films soundtrack is composed by A.R.Rahman and lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

The movie trailer is grabbing quite a positive response towards Alia Bhatt.

Director:- Vijay Krishna Acharya

Brief Story:- Sahir(Aamir khan) loses his father because of a Chicago Bank doesn't allow him to continue his circus. Since then Sahir has a mission to shutdown that bank and so he robs the bank. For this case ACP Dikshit and Ali are called from India.

What's Good:- Action sequences, pitch perfect bike thrills and the cinematography.
What's Bad:- The film is little long that is 172mins and some things are really senseless.

You may have predicted the movie, but nothing will prepare you for the barn burning "twist" just before the interval. It's a kind of stuff you would find in "Hard Ticket to Hawaii". It is fun while its end.

Worth:- A must watch. Breathtakingly shot with gorgeous cinematography, better than the preceding films in terms of thrill and mostly in terms of soul. 3.5/5stars.
