Gmail users finally gets ability to ‘Undo Send’ an e-mail.

Have you ever wished that there should be an ‘Undo’ button in an e-mail? Surely, you would have coz. of various mistakes like Failing to attach files in hurry, spelling mistakes or missing important detail, etc. Which people usually come to know after they have Clicked the ‘Send’ button. And thus the desire of ‘Undo’ button comes in the play.

Gmail launches one of its best feature i.e. the ‘Undo Send’ button which allows the user to cancel or edit the sent mail within a time period 5-30 seconds as per the settings.

The ‘Undo Send’ feature existed in the Google Labs from 2009 and took 6 years to become a regular feature after the long experimental period for which Google is famous for as the Gmail itself was in beta for 5 long years.

How to Enable the ‘Undo Send’ Feature:-

1. Go to ‘settings’ on the top right corner.
2. You will find ‘undo send’ under General tab.
3. Click Enable and select time period (30 seconds preferrable).
4. Click on save settings.

Now when you send a mail you would get an undo option same as you use to get when you delete an email. But just for the time period you have selected.

However, ‘Undo Send’ feature is not currently available on mobile application, so you're out of luck if you want to retract an email you sent from your phone. But Google will be soon launching the feature for mobile too.
