Oracle won a copyright case of Android against Google

On May 9, 2014. Judge William Alsup, United States District Court of  Northern California gave the judgement in favor of Oracle Corp as it had copyright over parts of the Java programming language, which Google used to develop its Android smartphone operating system. It is the world’s largest-selling smartphone platform. Against which Oracle filed a lawsuit in 2010, claiming that Google had improperly used parts of Java into Android. Oracle seeks around $1 billion as its copyright claims.
